Tonsillectomy & Adenoidectomy

Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy are surgeries to remove the tonsils and adenoids, respectively. These procedures were once common in children, but nowadays are used primarily to treat obstructive sleep apnea in young patients. It is estimated that this procedure has a success rate of 75% – 100% in children, and can result in better sleep, fewer colds, and a decrease in behavioral problems.
